Now that the economy is growing at more than 7 per cent annually and we’re all in the clover again, there is bound to be a stampede of passport-waving punters looking to get “the inside track on where to go and how to pay less for their holiday”.

The PR missive also reveals that respected travel journalist Eoghan Corry will host a "Travel Summit" at the RDS over the weekend. You would think the RDS has had its fill of summits at this stage.

Holiday World is apparently “a must-see event for anyone who is suffering from a serious case of wanderlust. From romantic trips to Rome to enjoying the craic of a home holiday, tiger watching in Africa or surfing in Bali . . . “

Wait a second. Tiger-watching in Africa? Experts say tigers have never been found in Africa. They’re Asian cats.

If Holiday World can rustle up tiger-watching trips to Africa, it really is a must-see.
