The app gives one normally paid-for app away free for a day, for both iPhone and iPad, and offers you discounts on others. The choice ranges from games to photo editing apps and more. Some of the apps that have been made free include instant message software WhatsApp and photo editor Snapseed. It’s a great way to discover apps that might not necessarily make it on to apple’s featured charts. Some of the more useful ones include editors for photo text or an app that saves a cache of a video so you can watch it offline later. The apps that are universal (that work on both iPad and iPhone) are marked with the plus sign, so on certain days you can get two free apps for your iPhone. Discounts on other apps are offered with up to 90 per cent off the regular price. Each deal – both freebies and discounts – lasts only 24 hours, so you have to be quick off the mark.
