Downloadable content can be a gamble. At worst it's just more of the same, copying and pasting additional maps and villains into a familiar setting. Thankfully, Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon's Keep has the trademark Borderlands wit and mayhem, and adds a dash of medieval and fantasy folklore. It's the bonus material that the game deserves. As some of the heroes of Borderlands 2 play a board game with Tina, she describes its story: a quest to find the missing queen in a mystical forest. The genre mix is surprisingly effective – sci-fi first-person shooter meets the Brothers Grimm. Any doubts are laid to rest early in the adventure when you're firing a gun at a hostile pixie. As always, the humour is alternately self-aware, clever and giddily stupid while the gameplay is fluid, precise and exciting. This is a lively, cheeky and inventive extra chapter to the Borderlands saga. borderlands2.com
