Spirit of Folk, which was shortlisted for Best New Festival in the 2011 European Festival awards, returns next weekend to Dunderry Park, Co Meath. Celebrating the harvest season in style, Spirit of Folk aims to “create, learn, interact and have fun in a playground for kids of all ages”.
There'll be traditional storytelling, falconry displays, archery lessons, battle re-enactments and wildlife walks by the Wildlife Trust, as well as folk music galore from John Spillane, Tír na nÓg, Jig Away the Donkey and Treetop Flyers.
