Catch the last of Engineers’ Week this weekend.

Today and tomorrow you can join the men and women of the Defence Forces and Naval Service on board the LÉ Orla on Dublin's Sir John Rogerson's Quay and explore the engineering behind radar, sonar, GPS and radio. Today at Cork's Lifetime Lab at Old Cork Waterworks, on the Lee Road, you can programme Lego robots, play with Giant Jenga and launch water rockets. Also today, at Galway's NUIG IDA Business Park, Lower Dangan, see software developers demonstrate their latest web-based games, while children from the local Coderdojo club will introduce kids aged 11 upwards to the coding behind their favourite games. You can play classic arcade games such as Asteroids, Pacman, Sonic and Pong in the Computer and Communications Museum. These events are free, but need to be booked in advance at engineersweek.ie.
