Love seafood? Then get to Dalkey this weekend for its inaugural Lobster, Crab and all that Jazz Festival taking place today and tomorrow.
Musicians serving up big helpings of jazz include the Late Late Show’s Camembert Quartet, The Guinness Jazz Band, Drazan Derek of The Cafe Orchestra, saxophonist Richie Buckley, Paddy Sherlock, and guitarist Louis Stewart. There will be crab and lobster served up in all of the village’s eateries as well as lobster-cooking demonstrations. For the kids, there’s a chance to mint your own Viking coins in Dalkey Castle today at 11am and a Mad Hatter magic show today at 1pm and 3pm in the Tramyard. Admission is free unless specified. Get cracking!
