Mary Byrne from Drumcondra tells Charlie Bird about her 23 years of Arctic life


Nurse Mary Byrne has been living in the high Arctic since she arrived in Labrador in 1991.The trip was only meant to be a year, and then another, and before she knew it, it had been 23 years. She talks to Charlie about her love of the area, the struggles of the locals, and leads him through some of the sites.
