"I flew Ryanair from Gatwick to Dublin on Monday, March 31st. The flight (FR113, 10am) was delayed by 25 minutes. There was no priority-boarding queue, nor were we asked to form one, nor was there a call for priority passengers.

"There was quite a crush in the waiting area, and we were suddenly all called. ("Called" isn't accurate . . . There was a rush and the rest followed.) I asked three staff about there being no priority boarding. One said it was another's responsibility, the second said there had been a call (I flatly deny this) and when, on the plane, I asked a stewardess about it she just laughed at me.

"I have no problem with flying Ryanair - I know it's no frills - but I resent having paid for a frill that didn't exist. How do I get my €4 back?"

"When I returned to Dublin from Gatwick with Ryanair last month our passports and boarding passes were checked at the departure lounge, where we sat, or the more eager and able stood, blocking exit gates.

"There were no queues, no divisions, no signs. When boarding was announced a voice said priority passengers first. The gates opened and everyone joined the Irish stampede together.

"Why did I pay for priority and get a yellow sticker on my boarding pass?"
