Panasonic Lumix FT4
Panasonic’s Lumix range is expanding apace, with a stream of new cameras, including the much-advertised G5. The FT4 doesn’t boast interchangeable lenses like its stablemate, but makes up for that with travel-proof ruggedness.
It is water resistant to 12m and droppable from 2m. Tough outside, smart innards, with full HD video, HDMI and even GPS. In fact, it’s got a very high tech geo-tagging facility with ABC (altimeter, barometer and compass) and built-in database of places that can put a location name to your satellite co-ordinates. Korkers SnowJack
