Highlife is giving free equipment to anyone booking a skiing holiday to Meribel in the French Alps on March 25th and is offering a free kids’ club at Easter in Morzine, also in the French Alps.

Meribel costs €905 for adults and €744 for children for seven nights half-board accommodation in a chalet. The free equipment (saving €157 per person) includes skis, ski boots and a helmet.

Seven nights in a chalet in Morzine from April 1st-8th and April 8th-15th costs €840 for an adult and €686 for a child, inclusive of kids’ club which Highlife says collects the kids from ski school and entertains them with “fun activities in a safe environment”.

Highlife also provides free ski guiding so guests get the best value from their lift passes. See highlife.iefor more details.

Catch: Only a catch for people who like to keep to themselves on holiday. The chalets each accommodate 10-15 people, so smaller groups and families have their own rooms within the chalet, but will regularly bump into fellow guests as everyone uses the same front door.

Take note:The Easter break in Morzine is already getting booked up so anyone wanting to go will have to act fast, but there's plenty of availability in Meribel in March.

Travelmood is offering free nightson selected holidays in the Maldives and Thailand. Eight nights at the Reethi Beach Island Resort in the Maldives – a four-star resort set amid lush vegetation and shaded by palm trees – on a BB basis from May 6th costs €1,154 per person, and includes one free night.

Eight nights in May in Thailand, staying at the four-star Evason Hua Hin and Six Senses on a BB basis costs from €936 per person. Facing the Gulf of Thailand, the resort is in Pranburi, a 30-minute drive from Hua Hin and has landscaped gardens and lotus ponds. Up to two children under 12 can stay and eat free when sharing with two paying adults in studio rooms for a minimum five-night stay from April to October.

Catch: May is one of the hottest months of the year in Thailand when even the locals complain about the heat and in the Maldives it is often the start of the rainy season.
