The Mournes as Gaeilge:The Cnocnafeola Centre/Mourne Hostel will host a weekend of activities for those interested in the Irish language on March 18th to 20th. The centre is a purpose-built hostel in the heart of the Mourne Mountains, between Spelga Dam and the Silent Valley.

Spring gathering
The Mountaineering Ireland Spring Gathering will be held on March 4th to 6th in the Glen of Aherlow, Co Tipperary. While the event is aimed at affiliated clubs (over 150 at the last count), Mountaineering Ireland encourages any new clubs/groups to participate, meet the community and experience the Galtee Mountains with experienced local leaders.
Workshops will have a strong focus on club development, leadership development in clubs and the renewal of clubs. Guided walks will be hosted by: Galtee Walking Club, Ballyhoura Bears and Peaks Mountaineering Club.
