Senior deals in Portugal

PORTUGAL is the latest country to offer cheap holidays to Irish seniors out of season. Last year Spain attracted hoards of the over 55s to take holidays in winter and spring but that scheme has ended. However seniors can holiday in Portugal from September to May at prices starting at €299 per week to include flights, bag, taxes and accommodation. Destinations include Albufeira, Vilamoura, Estoril and Sesimbra. Several Irish travel agents wil be offering the deal including Rathgar Travel, Killiney Travel, King Travel, Malahide, Travel 247 in Cork and Limerick Travel.

Kids who attend the marine biology summer camp at the Sealife Aquarium in Bray from August 8th-12th will receive a seashore explorers pack. The course costs €99 a child and the pack contains shells, shark and ray eggcases (aka mermaids’ purses), a seashore guide, a pocket guide to helping sharks, activity books, posters, badges and stickers.

A summer camp for teens runs from August 19th-21st and costs €180 and includes a boat trip to see the seal colony on Dalkey Island, whalewatching on Bray Head and a seashore survey in Sandycove.
