What was your best holiday?A bohemian holiday I spent travelling around the French Mediterranean island of Corsica a few years ago.
What was your worst holiday?The island of Jersey was not what I expected it to be! It was a bit too sedate for me but perhaps it was because I was quite young when I went there!
What would be your dream holiday?I'd love to spend time in Istanbul, Turkey and then travel on to Jerusalem.
Who would you bring on holiday with you?I'd really like to go with a guide like the adventurer, broadcaster and writer Simon Reeve.
What's your favourite place in Ireland?It would have to be outdoors walking the hills around where I live in Ballina, Co Mayo. I also love walking on the beautiful beach in nearby Enniscrone in Co Sligo.
Your recommended holiday reading?I really enjoy the Swedish author, Henning Mankell who writes crime thrillers.
Where will you go to next?Back to Africa! I have been there on a number of occasions and it is always a challenging and uplifting experience.
