Baltimore festival

Baltimore, in west Cork, will hold its third Heritage Festival next weekend, from April 9th to 11th, with numerous events on land and at sea. The weekend kicks off next Friday with storytellers telling tales around the fireplace at the cafe at Glebe Gardens, followed by music, song and dance. There will also be displays of crafts, vintage cars and kitchenalia; a talk by Darina Allen on forgotten skills of cooking; kayaking and boat rides in the harbour and to nearby islands; jewellery- and stained-glass-making; and more.
