Business perks to US
Aer Lingus has installed fully reclining sleeper seats and new entertainment systems on some of its aircraft as part of a revamped business-class service to the US. In addition, duvets have replaced the traditional wool blankets. The entertainment system has personal TV screens with a choice of 36 films and more than 40 programmes, as well as games, music and videos. The service will be available from Dublin to Boston, Chicago and New York, and from Shannon to Boston and New York.
When in Spain . . .
Some of the 90,000 Irish people living in Spain will have a chance to meet fellow expatriates in Madrid next weekend. Irish-Spanish blogger Chesús Yuste has enlisted Cork-based EuropeanIrish.com to help organise the first gathering of its type in Spain, timed to tie in with tomorrow week’s All-Ireland football final. Expats can meet at the Irish Rover Pub (theirishrover.com) at 10.30am on Saturday – for events that include a panel discussion on keeping in touch with Ireland, and an evening music session – then come back on Sunday for the match.
