Guests turning up in electric cars get free parking, those driving hybrids get 50 per cent off, while anyone can recharge their electric vehicle at the hotel. By architect Matteo Thun, this car-free resort (you reach it by cable-car) has it all going on: "ecotecture" and "organic architecture", combining nature, landscape and design. The grass roofed hotel was built with local materials where possible and uses untreated larch, clay and silver quartz. The biomass heating system burns local wood. Doubles from €190.
