Runner 2 takes all the charm of the original and moves it on . As the name suggests, it involves running. Lots of running. The aim is to get you're your character, Commander Video, from the start of the level to the end, avoiding all obstacles. You do that by jumping, sliding and even punching you way through. You can hang from rails or slide kick. There are choices, and they're all fun. But the game is more than just another endless runner. You need perfect timing to nail some of the obstacles and there are alternate routes, leading you down different paths, and a handy checkpoint that will keep you on track should you fall off the screen. When you successfully avoid and obstacle or pick up an object, it feeds into the soundtrack, adding a note or two. As you work your way through the five worlds, the urge to keep pushing your score higher and higher is irresistible. Runner 2 is the perfect blend of platform and music game.
