REVIEW: Jonas,3 cert, Disney Interactive, Nintendo DS (exclusive)

Even more innocent than Flight of the Concords, the Jonas Brothers are a Disney-created boyband phenomenon with their own sitcom, albums and, now, Nintendo DS game.

Leading the lads around their duel lives as high school students and rock stars, tasks include waking up your sleeping brothers, running away from hordes of adoring female fans and other wacky antics. There are also music performances and dull mini-games, including table football. You can alternate between which brother you control, though my 33-year-old eyes struggled to tell the difference between avatars.

Confident in the knowledge that hardcore Jonas fans will buy anything, Disney could have whipped together any old game – and that's apparently what happened. The controls in Jonasare user-unfriendly and the game is padded with plenty of walking around, onscreen text and charmless animation. Staunch fans might be forgiving, but kids really deserve better than this.
