Keoghs Crisps, which started business less than a year ago, won the Fingal Enterprise Award in Dublin last night.

Run by Tom, Ross and Derek Keogh, the handmade crisp company operates from the family farm in Oldtown, north County Dublin. Its “spud nav” allows buyers to trace every packet to the field where the potatoes were grown.

The business employs nine staff with plans to recruit another six people in the next year. The crisps are stocked in all the major Irish retailers as well as artisan stores, including Dean DeLuca in New York.

The award was made by Fingal County Enterprise Board at a food forum last night. Keoghs Crisps will now represent Fingal at the National Enterprise Awards which will be held next month.
