Fyffes chairman David McCann received total remuneration of €927,000 last year, in line with 2010. This included a basic salary of €681,000 and performance- related bonus of €225,000.

The payments to the company’s chief operating officer Coen Bos and finance director Tom Murphy also remained virtually unchanged from 2010, with Mr Bos earning €613,000 in 2011 compared to €614,000 the previous year, and Mr Murphy earning €497,000, in line with 2010.

Latest results for the fruit importer show that it enjoyed a 14.5 per cent increase in sales in 2011.

Revenues reached €850 million in 2011, while ebitda was up by 10.1 per cent to €29.6 million.

The company also reported a “positive start” to 2012 last month.

It said that while the group was benefiting from improving pricing in continental Europe, fuel costs could be challenging for the company.

The company announced that it would hold its annual meeting of shareholders on May 10th.
