John Moloney joins board of food group

Food group Greencore has appointed John Moloney, the group managing director with Glanbia, as a non-executive director.

Mr Moloney (58) is also a non-executive director of business services group DCC. “John adds further deep sectoral and international experience to the board, which will help support the group’s next phase of development,” chairman Gary Kennedy said.

In its first trading update of the year, Greencore, which moved its listing to London last year, reported revenue of £298.9 million (€353.4 million) for the 13 weeks to December 28th.

Greencore is the biggest player in the “food to go” category in the UK, supplying such retailers as Waitrose, Tesco and Asda.
