Connemara land for sale for €1.7m

Almost 3 acres of serviced land at Roundstone village in Connemara, Co Galway, is to be offered for sale by a long-time owner who is planning to retire. The site is expected to sell for around €1.7 million.

Businessman Malachy Kearns expects that the former grounds of the 1853 Franciscan Monastery will be of interest to companies developing private homes, retirement apartments, a hotel with wedding facilities or marine facilities.

The grounds have sewage facilities for around 400 units and already accommodate a 9,000sq ft bodhrán-making factory with offices owned by Roundstone Music & Crafts. The factory and offices are available for an additional €700,000.
