Fitzwilliam Street Georgian makes more than €1.5m guide

Bidding was sharp for Georgian building of 452sq m with mews and three car spaces

An overseas investor has paid in excess of the guide price of €1.5 million for a well-located Georgian office building at Fitzwilliam Street, Dublin 2.

The house is located opposite the ESB headquarters and, according to Robert Corrigan of Brown Corrigan Chartered Surveyors, the purchaser believes that the redevelopment of the ESB offices and the former Bank of Ireland headquarters would greatly enhance values in this area of the city.

There was competitive bidding for the Georgian building, which extends to 452sq m (4,865sq ft), has a 252sq m (2,712sq ft) mews at the rear and three car-parking spaces.
