IN SHORT:DUBLIN'S Georgian office market has been given a boost with the letting of the entire space at 14 Fitzwilliam Square, Dublin 2, to Goldcore, the international bullion dealer and wealth manager.
The company has agreed to pay a rent of €215 per sq m (€20 per sq ft) for 382sq m (4,120sq ft) under a flexible seven-year lease. Mark Byrne of Goldcore described their new Dublin office as “one of the finest Georgian buildings in Ireland” which would help their continuing expansion in this country and overseas. Paul Hanly of HT Meagher O’Reilly handled letting for the lndlord while Marcus Wren of Bannon advised Goldcore.
Web firm leasing on quays
WEBFACTORY, the South African company which specialises in web design and development, has leased a refurbished Georgian office building at 7 Bachelor’s Walk in Dublin 1. The 418sq m (4,500sq ft) building also has the use of a dozen car parking spaces at the rear.
€550,000 for docklands office
AGENT Owen Reilly is quoting €550,000 for an own-door commercial unit at Forbes Quay, off Grand Canal Square in the south Dublin docklands. The 80sq m (861sq ft) unit has been fitted out to a high standard and includes a display lighting system which cost €20,000.
Sale of Chartbusters buildings
DTZ Sherry FitzGerald is handling the sale of two retail buildings in Rathmines and Bray, formerly occupied by Chartbusters, on behalf of receivers Grant Thornton.
Michael McNamee of DTZ is seeking €500,000 for a two-storey building at 210 Rathmines Road, Dublin 6, which is likely to be redeveloped by a new owners. There is planning permission to replace it with a three-storey building with 594sq m (6,394sq ft) of retail space at all levels. Separately, the agency is quoting €700,000 for the former Chartbusters unit at The Dargle Centre, off Castle Street in Bray, Co Wicklow. The building has 649sq m (6,986sq ft) of floor space on two levels.
