Interest high in Dublin retail expo

Delegates attracted by the recovery in Ireland’s retail economy over the past two years

More than 600 representatives from leading Irish and UK retail firms are due to attend the Completely Retail & Leisure Marketplace Ireland exhibition on February 23rd at The Printworks, Dublin Castle.

The delegates, with an interest in establishing or expanding their presence in Ireland, have been attracted to the event by the recovery in Ireland’s retail economy over the past two years.

Retailers due to attend include Eason, Home Retail Group, Omniplex Cinemas, Insomnia, H&M and Homestore & More. Savills is one of the event's core sponsors and its head of commercial, Larry Brennan, says that Ireland's economic recovery is having a positive knock-on effect on the retail sector. "Strong employment growth is positively influencing consumer sentiment, which is now at a 10-year high, and retail sales are continuing on an upward trajectory. Consequently, demand for retail space on prime high streets and shopping centres remains high."
