Jobs boost for Dublin and Galway as 132 roles created

Over 130 new jobs are to be created in Dublin and Galway by five North American and European high-growth companies.

The new jobs are to be spread across a range of sectors including IT, cyber security, life sciences and financial services.

The companies creating the new jobs are software analytics company New Relic, internet domain name registry business Starting Dot, global consulting company capSpire, manufacturer NeoMed and logistics company SEKO MedTec.

SEKO MedTec is to create 30 jobs in Galway, while New Relic creating 50 new jobs in Dublin. The fast growing software company, based in San Francisco, has selected Dublin as the location for its EMEA headquarters.

NeoMed is also establishing an EMEA headquarters in Dublin with the creation of 22 jobs, while StartingDot is setting up a finance and operations centre in the Capital resulting in 10 new jobs.

Arkansas based company capSpire will create 20 new business consultancy and software development jobs by opening its first international office in Ireland.

IDA Ireland chief executive Barry O'Leary said the IDA has set up a specific division to focus on attracting high-potential, high-growth companies to Ireland at an early stage of their development.

“Ireland’s reputation as a location for fast-growing businesses to expand into international markets continues to grow. We hope to have the next Amazon, Google and Oracle in this group of companies.”
