GoldCore has completed the sale of its wealth management division following approval from the Central Bank of Ireland.

The division was sold in a management buyout, founding shareholders Stephen Flood and Mark O’Byrne said.

The wealth management division was established in 2005 alongside the company’s precious metals brokerage.

Under the stewardship of Marc Westlake it has grown into a substantial wealth management business tailored to high net worth clients.

“We have decided to focus on our core precious metals coin, bar and storage offering and continuing our drive into key international markets,” Mr Flood said.

“We believed that financial advice would move from commissions to fee-based advice and putting the client first and Marc Westlake and his team have been at the vanguard of this important trend in Ireland,” he added.
