Cullen brings knowledge of mining, exploration and capital markets to role

Zinc and gold exploration company Connemara Mining has appointed Patrick Cullen as its new chief executive.

Mr Cullen’s appointment takes effect from today and he is said to bring more than 20 years’ experience in the mining and exploration sector.

Most recently, Mr Cullen was a director of Kodal Norway (UK), a phosphate and iron mining company. He also held the position of exploration manager for African Energy Resources.

The new chief executive holds an MBA from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia having graduated from University College Cork with a bachelor's degree in science in 1992. He subsequently completed a bachelor's degree in science, in geology, in 1994.
