Christy Moore’s music firm has cash assets of almost €700,000, according to accounts lodged with the Companies Office.

Christy Moore’s music firm has cash assets of almost €700,000, according to accounts lodged with the Companies Office.

They show that in the 12 months to the end of March 31st this year the 67-year-old performer’s music firm, Yellow Furze Music Ltd, recorded pretax profits of €174,914. The firm’s accumulated profits increased by €175,474 to €699,644. Cash at the music firm increased to €696,695.

The returns state that the principal activity of the company “is the sale of music performances and recordings by Christy Moore”.Moore is also a founding member of Moving Hearts and Planxty and the accounts show that during the year, Yellow Furze Music Ltd acquired rights that will generate royalty income. The figures show that during the year €750,000 was spent by the firm on acquiring an unidentified intangible asset.

Last year the firm’s profits fell from €873,097 to €524,172, with cash decreasing from €802,229 to €554,745.
