Remember when GoPro had the action camera market sewn up? Times have changed and, with plenty of cheaper competitors, GoPro has found the going a bit tough.

But the Hero 7 may be the action camera that puts the company back on top. It’s best-selling point is something called Hypersmooth, which is an in-camera video stabilisation technology that enables judder-free footage and feeds into the TimeWarp time-lapse function. There’s a SuperPhoto mode that cleans up your still images with HDR and noise reduction. And the whole thing is waterproof to just over 10m (33ft) without any extra housing.
