Oppo Find X5 Series: Can new flagship device raise the bar?

The Chinese brand is doing an admirable job filling the gap left by Huawei

Oppo is continuing to try to fill the void left behind by Huawei in the mobile market, and an admirable job it is doing too. In between announcing partnerships with Hasselblad for its flagship smartphones and debuting its foldable phone, Oppo has also found time to launch its new flagship device. The Find X5 promises a lot, from raising the bar on imaging to its powerful performance.

The new Find X5 Series includes the Find X5 Pro, the Find X5 and Find X5 Lite. It includes Oppo’s dedicated imaging neural processing unit, MariSilicon X, which helps with night-time recording; the process is based on a 6-nanometer process and delivers powerful AI computing power available, to give better colour in video and less grain.

It also includes ultra-fast 5G connectivity, and fast-charging technology, and upgraded front-facing camera with a five-axis OIS system to counter handshake. The Pro comes with a 6.7 inch AMOLED display, with the Find X5 offering a 6.5 inch screen.
