This week: Tech leaders touch down in Limerick

The Limerick and Shannon region’s function as a natural gateway for US access to Europe will be one of the talking points at global technology forum taking place at UL tomorrow.

The Irish Technology Leadership Group (ITLG) forum aims to help Irish start-up executives meet and collaborate with leading international figures, expand their network and create new business opportunities. Start-ups and entrepreneurs will also have the chance to pitch for investment to Venture Capital firms.

"The Limerick and Shannon regions have very strong ties with Silicon Valley, and showcasing the indigenous talent and innovation, while engaging with US investors and tech leaders will serve both our regions exceptionally well in terms of future growth, entrepreneurship, innovation and investment," John Hartnett, chief executive of ITLG said.

Dell's entrepreneur-in-residence Ingrid Vanderveldt, Intel vice president Rory McInerney, former Intel chairman Craig Barrett, Cisco senior vice president Barry O'Sullivan, Disney vice president Una Fox and Fionnuala Meehan, director of SMB sales for Google, will be among the speakers.
