Almost 80,000 passengers due to arrive and depart through airport tomorrow

More than 925,000 passengers are expected to travel through Dublin Airport between tomorrow and January 1st.

The Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) said this is an increase of 18 per cent compared to passenger numbers over the Christmas period last year.

The DAA said tomorrow is expected to be the busiest day before Christmas, with almost 80,000 passengers due to arrive and depart through both terminals.

December 27th is expected to be the busiest day after Christmas with passengers heading to winter sun and skiing destinations.

Dublin Airport spokeswoman Siobhan O’Donnell said flight operations will cease on Christmas Eve after the last flight departs at 23:00 to Moldova and will resume on St. Stephen’s Day at 04:45 when the first flight lands from Addis Ababa.
