Emirates is to create 25 jobs in Ireland as it opens its first office in Dublin and prepares to begin a new route to Dubai.

Emirates is to create 25 jobs in Ireland as it opens its first office in Dublin and prepares to begin a new route to Dubai.

The new roles will be based at the city-centre office and also at Dublin Airport's Terminal 2. The jobs include positions in sales, reservations, ticketing, finance, airport operations and cargo.

The Dublin to Dubai route is set to begin from January 9th, and will operate daily.

The Irish operation will be headed by Aer Lingus's former head of European sales Margaret Shannon as country manager.
