A flight from Copenhagen was met by emergency services at Dublin Airport on Monday after declaring a medical emergency mid-air.

Norwegian Air shuttle flight DY3606 was on the final approach of a one and three-quarter hour journey between the two cities when the emergency was declared.

The exact nature of the emergency is not yet known, but a spokeswoman for the airline confirmed that an incident did take place.

“Norwegian can confirm that flight DY3606 from Copenhagen to Dublin landed routinely but was met by emergency services upon landing due to a medical issue onboard,” she said.
