Scandinavian flag carrier SAS plans to launch a Dublin-to-Gothenburg service next spring.

The airline said today that it will launch the service on March 29th and it will fly to the Swedish city three times a-week during peak summer months.

The route is one of eight new services that SAS is introducing as part of its summer schedule, which it is launching tomorrow.

Commenting on the news, Dublin Airport managing director, Vincent Harrison, said that the route would boost links between Ireland and Sweden.

“We have been talking to SAS for some time in relation to the potential for a direct service to Gothenburg and we’re delighted that it will be served from Dublin three times per week in the peak summer period next year,” he said.
