Skateboarding no longer has to be a solo sport. While some franchises are about the individual, EA's Skateseries has always had some element of community. The newest addition to the series ramps up that side of things, putting the focus firmly on the team.

Based in a skater’s paradise known as Port Carverton, players build their ultimate team before stepping up to the challenges. You can have a team made up of your online buddies or, if that’s not an option, the game assigns some AI teammates. The co-op mode sees teams compete challenges together, helping to advance each others’ careers.

Dedicated players aim to "kill" (and not simply "own") the various challenges. There's also a lot more control over certain elements of Skate 3, with users able to create their own parks, graphics and videos.
