Major Lazer's second album has been a long time coming, and you can probably mark that down to producer and instigator Diplo's ongoing global gallivanting. Of course, this touring led him to the Jamaican dancehall, dub and roots sounds that helped make Major Lazer's debut ( Guns Don't Kill People, Lazers Do ) such an enticing, rousing affair. For the second time around, fellow Lazerman Dave "Switch" Taylor has amicably departed the scene, leaving Diplo to take the helm of a crew who are aiming at a much bigger dancefloor. The infectious hooks, effervescent energy and all-round air of silliness make Wind Up , Get Free and especially Scare Me sound like the best party in the world. Those occasions when Diplo kicks up some dust for the EDM brothers aren't quite as enticing but, by and large, Major Lazer's big guns are still set to stun.
