This weekend, the Body and Soul festival marks the summer solstice with its typically glittery array of talent in Ballinlough Castle in Co Westmeath.

Last year saw the main stage open on Friday for the first time; this year the organisers have built on that line-up considerably. Lamb, Savages and Dan Deacon are competing for your attention while Talaboman and New Jackson give you options in the Midnight Circus.

There are tough calls to be made on Saturday: Shit Robot or Flight Facilities? Super Furry Animals or Clark? Goat or Sohn? We’ll probably be tending to the flock for the first two, and taking flight for the late night slot. And who would you choose to close out your festival on Sunday night (going home is not an option): Leftfield or Tiga?

Update: In response to some queries, the festival have clarified that music will end on the Main, Midnight Circus, Wonderlust and Pagoda stages at 2am on the Friday and Saturday nights, and at midnight on Sunday night. Entertainment and performances will continue on other stages after that.
