Sir, – On mature reflection and having contacted Michael McCabe, I must confess that I made a serious error in stating that he was the first person to perform Krapp's Last Tape in Ireland (March 22nd). In fact he tells me that he never performed the role.
It just goes to show that you should never trust to memory alone when you are older than the legendary Krapp – but I am still positive that Kelly played the part in Ustinov's Blow Your Own Trumpet . With sincere apologies. – Yours, etc,
