Dublin’s first legwear boutique

Tights Department, Dublin's first boutique specialising in legwear is the initiative of Katie McDonnell, a fashion graduate of Limerick School of Art & Design who worked in the hosiery industry for seven years. Testing the market with a pop-up shop in the basement of Design House on Dawson Street gave her the confidence to open a permanent location in the Hibernian Way. Her brands are mostly sourced from Italy and the UK with footless tights and leggings the most popular with Irish customers. Novelty items include spiderweb tights for Halloween and Christmas-themed tights, but she also stocks socks, hold-ups, stockings, legwarmers and children's hosiery. Deirdre McQuillan
