This week, we catch up with model Roberta Hatton. I have always envied Roberta’s effortless style so I nabbed her this week to get the lowdown on how she manages to look so chic all the time. She shares her secrets of carefully selecting in the shops so that you can save time in the morning rush.
Trousers €19.99, jumper €12.99 - Zara:
“You can never go wrong with Zara. I always seem to find great stuff in their sale which is still running in all their stores. These colours although from their A/W collection, will work great for spring, too, which is super handy.”
Runners €77 - Schuh: "They are super comfortable especially with all the running around I do and I love the colour as it goes with all the great pieces that I have picked up for this season."
Coat €78 - Topshop: "I am obsessed with camel colour which was everywhere this winter so I couldn't leave it behind! Also with the Irish weather I will probably get wear out of it all year."
Backpack €30 - Nine Crows: "Backpacks are so handy for running around! I love to pick up a vintage one as no one else will have the same one and I also love the look of the leather when it has been worn in a bit. Nine Crows has a big range of backpacks in at the moment so there are loads to choose from."
Personal style: "I went crazy in the sales this year which I never do – my coat, trousers and jumper were all my favourite bargains ever. My favourite things in life are baggy clothes. I have a lazy style which suits my busy life perfectly."
“I often just throw on my clothes in the morning but if you buy the right pieces, this kind of speed dressing works every time! Make sure to spend the time in the shops, try everything on and think about how it will go with the other things you own. If you can build a capsule of clothing that can be interchanged, your outfits will be much easier to put together."
Tips for SS16: "I am a much bigger fan of winter fashion and I love all the slouchy jumpers that have been around everywhere over the last few months so I will probably just bring that trend in to spring with me and wear them as jumper dresses."
