The September Cellar is a range of 11 new wines at Lidl, available while stocks last. Here are four wines from the selection that are worth checking out.

Touraine Sauvignon Blanc 2019, Les Caves Gilles Gobin, €9.99
A light, refreshing Sauvignon, with plump pear and apple fruits, and a rounded finish. Enjoy it solo or with a soft goat's cheese salad.

Salneval Albariño 2020, Val de Salnés Rías Baixas, €14.99
From Galicia, in northwest Spain, this rich, fruit-filled Albariño would go perfectly with prawn and other shellfish dishes. The combination of acidity and ripe fruit would work nicely with a Thai green prawn curry.

Torre de Ferro Dão Reserva 2018, €12.99
A medium-bodied red from one of the best wine regions of Portugal. Fresh, smooth plum and blackcurrant fruits with an easy finish. Try it with roast pork or stewed peppers with olives and herbs.

Entre Quintas Douro Reserva 2018, Caves do Monte Vinhos, €11.99
A richer, fuller-bodied red, with ripe cassis, vanilla oak and a smooth, lightly tannic finish. This would make a good partner for aubergine Parmigiana or a warming beef stew.
