Week 12
In this week's programme, we are working on preparing ourselves to comfortably swim for 2,000m. You will be working on perfecting your stroke and techniques to help you in counting your lengths. Your swimming coach, former Olympian Melanie Nocher, will address these areas in this week’s to see how this will go for you.
If you are taking part, you need to be able to commit to three training sessions a week. Remember, you can still register for Swim Ireland's Swim for a Mile challenge at swimforamile.com.
Session 1
Total lengths = 72 lengths
Total distance = 1,900m
Session 2
Total lengths = 76 lengths
Total distance = 1,900m
Session 3
Total lengths = 80 lengths
Total distance = 2,000m
