Three of the best . . . shamrock chic
Celebrate St Patrick’s Day in style by greening your home through the addition of accent pieces. Kelly Hoppen’s lacquer drawer cube comes in seven vibrant colours, including this emerald shade. The high-shine lacquer piece is good as a sofa- or bedside table. Delivery is eight to 10 weeks and costs about €767, ex-delivery.
Fly the flag at home by serving up a fine Irish stew in any of these casserole dishes from Marks & Spencer (marksandspencer.ie). Another simple way to green your home for St Patrick's Day is to add one of the 40 shades to your tabletop. These tiny tourmaline coloured glass vases come in a trio and cost about €54 from Design House Stockholm will add a festive touch to any bite to eat. Trending . . . status ceilings
Do you live in a period house that is missing its original ceiling rose? Instead of installing a faux replacement why not embrace modernity and decorate it using Rhombus ceiling tiles, a set of polystyrene geometric shapes that can be used to create radial patterns or irregular shapes. A pack of 72 tiles costs €165. These can then be painted using emulsion either the same colour as the ceiling or in contrasting colours to create a pattern.
