Malahide: from €1.375m The second phase of the small development of luxury detached family houses at Chamley Park in Malahide goes on sale this week.

Joint agents Sherry FitzGerald New Homes and Kevin Flanigan are now selling six detached houses in the estate at Swords Road, opposite the junction of Estuary Road close to the exclusive Abington estate and a short drive from the village.

There are four similar styles of five-bedroom houses varying in size from 249-260sq m (2,680-2,800sq ft) with prices starting at €1.375 million.

These are big, well-designed houses that come with an impressive array of standard features. The sleek Italian Mirari kitchens come with honed granite worktops and integrated Kupper Bush appliances that range from an American larder fridge to a cappuccino machine. A home cinema system for the livingroom and plasma screens in the main bedroom, bathroom and en suite are included, while the sophisticated wiring system should allow owners to control heating and lighting remotely.

The layout is appealing with a wide hallway leading to a big livingroom that opens through to a diningroom that then leads on to a sunroom overlooking the back garden. The kitchen, which also connects with the diningroom, has a good range of units, and there is plenty of storage next door in a spacious fitted utility room.

Upstairs, the first floor has four bedrooms, one fitted out as a study or office. One of the bedrooms is en suite and there is a very good family bathroom.

The staircase continues up to the top floor where the main bedroom suite is. It has a room-sized bathroom that's fitted with a corner bath and a combi steam shower/sauna cabin unit.

The three-storey houses are being built by O'Mahony Finnerty, a company that previously specialised in building one-off houses in Galway and Mayo, as well as Dublin developments in Sandymount, Irish Town, Ballsbridge and Clontarf.

In all, there will be 20 houses in Chamley Park and completions for this phase of six houses range from now through to the year end. Viewing is on Saturday.
