Spacious two-bed opposite Christ Church Cathedral for £280,000

When the Deanscourt apartments were built in the early 1990s they were very much on the edge of things. Behind the site on the corner opposite Christchurch Cathedral, small houses on the fringes of the Liberties were being gentrified, Temple Bar was still planned as a bus depot and the upsurge in inner city apartment building was just beginning.

Deanscourt was also unusual in that the ground floor of the building has always been given over to high profile commerical use - the ill fated Century radio was there - and now its tenants include an advertising agency and an insurance company.

The present owners bought 25 Deanscourt, Christchurch Square, and have lived in it since making some improvements along the way. It is now for sale by Gunne Residential, which is quoting £280,000 (€355,527) for the 980 sq ft apartment.

The apartment is on the top floor and there two bedrooms. The walls between the bedrooms have been soundproofed. Unusually for an apartment, both bedrooms are doubles, with the larger bedroom having builtin wardrobes.
