Laura Elizabeth Hughes: All I want for Christmas

Christmas for me starts . . . on the day I go into town with my Dad a week or two before Christmas, for a wander around to just take in the atmosphere, and have a hot chocolate. Tradition I guess.

Last Christmas . . . was spent with music, family and a new friend, Grace, who had only been in Ireland a few months. She stayed with us for Christmas – couldn't have somebody without family at Christmas.

This Christmas . . . I’m looking forward to getting some down time, some well needed brain down time (I’m also looking forward to the fact that I’m the only one who eats the strawberry Roses.)

My favourite thing about this time of year . . . is that it is inevitably cold enough for me to whip out all my knitwear, and massive scarves, and woolly gloves. I love being warm, but being warm when it's cold and raw out is wonderful.

It wouldn't be Christmas without . . . the days following Christmas Day where you get to laze about and just chill the beans.
All I want for Christmas is . . . Being totally selfish? A Gibson Archtop Semi-acoustic – swoon.
