18: Dacia Duster – Handsome SUV that delivers great value

There's a new Duster on sale now, and congratulations if you noticed because, from the outside, Dacia is yet another car maker which clearly believes that there's safety in conservatism. It looks much like the old one.

It’s priced much like the old one too, which is good news, although that basic price has now jumped up over the €17,000 mark. That buys you a chunky, relatively handsome, small SUV, with comparable space and usability to a family hatchback costing as much as €10,000 more.

Dacia has gently upgraded the interior (still cheap, but less offensively so than was previously the case) and has added such luxuries as a touchscreen infotainment system and more safety kit to the options list. It represents what it has always done - as much car as possible for as little money as possible. For that, we admire it.
