Emma, originally from Carlow, is a qualified barrister, who studied law at Griffith College and now works with a healthcare company.
She met Keith, a graphic designer in his family's company Academy Signs, on a night out in 2008 and their first date was dinner in Ranelagh soon afterwards.
When Keith proposed to Emma on the Charles Bridge in Prague in December 2013, it started snowing and fireworks went off – neither of which he had organised.
The couple booked the same venue and date as Emma's parents' – Dr Jim and Mary Madden – own wedding 39 years ago.
However, due to renovations, the wedding was cancelled with six months to go.
After initial disappointment and some sleepless nights, Keith landed on their perfect place – Richard Corrigan's Virginia Park Lodge, Co Cavan.
They had their food tasting in Corrigan’s London restaurant, Bentley’s Oyster Bar & Grill, last March, which Emma arranged as a birthday surprise for her fiance.
On June 5th 2015, Emma and Keith were married by Fr Paul O’Boyle – a longtime patient of the brides father, a dentist – in the Cathedral in Carlow.
Music was by Emer Barry who sings in the couple's local church on Haddington Road, Dublin 4.
A surprise for Liverpool fan Keith was organised by his new father-in-law, a Manchester United supporter, who asked Emer to sing You'll Never Walk Alone as the newlyweds walked down the aisle.
Emma, whose sisters Orna and Aimée were bridesmaids, wore a dress from Pronovias in Spain and her shoes were Christian Dior which she bought in Saks Fifth Avenue.
Keith and Emma live in Dublin and spent three weeks in San Francisco, Hawaii and Arizona.
